چکیده

Owing to the increasing penetration level of distributed energy resources (DER) and direct current (DC) load, usage low-voltage (LVDC) systems has expanded achieve efficient operations. However, because LVDC system reaches peak fault at a faster rate than alternating (AC) system, solution that protects components is necessary maintain integrity. It required by ride-through (LVRT) DERs their interconnections with support recovery. In this study, method proposed allow application superconducting limiter (SFCL) reduce enhance LVRT capability. when DER connection recovery, conventional resistive-type SFCL must withstand burden high-temperature (HTSC) operation during state dependence on LVRT. Therefore, study proposes trigger-type HTSC element The voltage sag related was improved owing SFCL. confirmed using PSCAD/EMTDC, which commercial software.

A New Method to Enhance the Low Voltage Ride Through Capability of Doubly Fed Induction Generator Using Resistive Type Superconducting Fault Current Limiter

In the event of voltage sag at the nearing of a wind park, severe currents may pass through the power electronic devices of the Doubly Fed Induction Generators (DFIGs). Hence, according to the Low Voltage Ride Through (LVRT) requirements, the wind parks are allowed to disconnect from the network after a certain time. Therefore, to avoid such actions, the LVRT requirement of wind parks is consid...

Low Voltage Ride-Through Capability Improvement of Doubly Fed Induction Generator using DVR and SMES

Abstract: With the growth of communities and the increasing need for electricity, and because of the many benefits of renewable energy sources, the wind turbine has become a completely commercial and inevitable process, with increasing penetration into the electricity grid. Distribution networks, on the other hand, are subject to fault that cause power fluctuations and outflow of wind units. In...

Low Voltage Ride Through Enhancement Based on Improved Direct Power Control of DFIG under Unbalanced and Harmonically Distorted Grid Voltage

In the conventional structure of the wind turbines along with the doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG), the stator is directly connected to the power grid. Therefore, voltage changes in the grid result in severe transient conditions in the stator and rotor. In cases where the changes are severe, the generator will be disconnected from the grid and consequently the grid stability will be attenu...

Low voltage ride-through capability improvement of DFIG-based wind turbines under unbalanced voltage dips

This paper proposes a competent and effective scheme to enhance the ride-through capability of DFIGbased wind turbines under unbalanced voltage dip conditions. The proposed method is realized through joint use of the rotor-side converter control and a three-phase stator damping resistor (SDR) placed in series with the stator windings. By means of an asymmetrical SDR idea, during the unbalanced ...

Fault Ride-through Capability Enhancement of Voltage Source Converter-High Voltage Direct Current Systems with Bridge Type Fault Current Limiters

This paper proposes the use of bridge type fault current limiters (BFCLs) as a potential solution to reduce the impact of fault disturbance on voltage source converter-based high voltage DC (VSC-HVDC) systems. Since VSC-HVDC systems are vulnerable to faults, it is essential to enhance the fault ride-through (FRT) capability with auxiliary control devices like BFCLs. BFCL controllers have been d...
